The Café serves a delicious range of hand-made Island cakes; a variety of home-made scones freshly baked each day, as well as flapjacks, chocolate brownies and our speciality Sharon slice (named after our fabulous cook who makes them from her own special recipe!).
We serve a selection of light and delicious lunches, which include an Island Cheese Board with a selection of local cheeses and chutney; home-made soup and crusty bread; filled rolls and ciabattas; Island 'Sausages in Blankets' and fresh salads with home-grown leaves from just across the road and locally sourced eggs.
We use only local ingredients in our 'Ultimate Island Cream Tea' such as Stoneground Island flour and Island butter and milk. It is served with real, thick clotted cream from Calbourne Classics' cows, which graze on the farm up the road as well as our delicious strawberry jam, made here in the Chessell kitchen.
All this is served on our much loved strawberry design Chessell Ware, which is totally hand-made and hand-decorated at our pottery - available online and in the Gift Barn.
